“My main responsibility is to maintain everything within the business that hasn’t got a plug attached to it.”
StoneHouse was started by myself and Mark in 1998, and ever since I have become heavily involved with the day to day operations of the company. My experience at StoneHouse has taught me a great deal on keeping a grip on expenses, and cash flow management. As well as man-management; making sure that every member of the team is performing to the best of their ability and that the best man for the job is on the right project.
My main responsibility is to maintain everything within the business that hasn’t got a plug attached to it. On a daily basis this sees me taking charge of the accounts, business admin, and human resources for the company. Primarily I am responsible for the control of the money, both in an out of our company, and the recruitment and training of new members of staff. So, if it comes through our front door and it doesn’t contain a microchip then it’s my responsibility.
When I’m not in the office, I am found looking after our two daughters and I’m a Brownie Leader, to a group of 24 Brownies. I love the great outdoors, and love to go walking whenever the opportunity allows. Additionally, I’m an avid theatregoer and will jump at the opportunity to see anything on the stage, whether it is Shakespeare at the Globe or Singing in the Rain in the West End. My perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon would be a good long walk followed by a relaxing Sunday lunch with my family.
